Love Is Safe

Lesbian or gay wedding in Metro Manila

Not just during Valentine’s Day but always and everyday, love should be safe and feel safe.

In everything, it should be clear and mutually consensual. Boundaries and limitations should be respected at all times.

If you are not sure, don’t. A no means no; Stop means stop; Over means over.

No one should be threatened, manipulated or forced. Also, minors and vulnerable adults who cannot give consent are off-limits.

Protect each other’s health. Should you get sexually intimate, use condoms and water-based lubricants properly and correctly. Know your HIV status regularly and be sexually responsible, always.

No one should feel pressured to date, to have a partner or to have sex. In your time and in your own comfort. Nor should anyone feel shame, fear or embarrassment regarding their romantic and sexual lives and practices, provided such practices does not harm anyone.

Love passionately and ethically.

Now. Always.
