“New Normal” LGBT Wedding In The Philippines

Lesbian or gay wedding in Metro Manila

“I would rather share one lifetime with you than face all the ages of this world alone.”

The COVID-19 pandemic did not stop this LGBT+ Couple on celebrating their same-sex wedding ceremony here in the Philippines.

Open Table MCC, one of the few Christian churches that conducts same-sex weddings (also known as Holy Unions), opened its doors for LGBT+ couples who want to want to have their wedding ceremony despite the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Strict safety and health guidelines are followed during the wedding ceremony. Before entering our chapel space, we make sure to check the temperature of each attendees. We require all guests to wear face masks and face shields, and we limit the number of guests during the ceremony so that social distancing is ensured. The chapel space is also disinfected before and after each ceremony. We also have alcohol ready for disinfecting the hands of our guests during the wedding.

If you are a same-sex couple / LGBT+ couple and you are not able to legally marry each other due to the laws of the Philippines not having a same-sex or marriage equality law yet, you might be interested to have a ceremonious wedding instead, or a 'Holy Union', under Open Table Metropolitan Community Church.
