Our Very Own Nessa and Paola’s Wedding Will Surely Inspire You

Lesbian or gay wedding in Metro Manila

In a world where people are persecuted because of their gender or sexual orientation, Nessa and Paola’s families came together to consecrate their relationship before God, and celebrate with so much pride and joy.

The couple are regulars at Open Table Metropolitan Community Church, an LGBT+ affirming church community based in Metro Manila, Philippines, that conducts wedding ceremonies or “Holy Unions” for same-sex or LGBT+ couples.

As such, many of the members of our congregation were invited to the wedding as well.

A Holy Union ceremony is purely a religious ritual, and has no legal bearing. The Philippines is yet to have a marriage equality law for LGBT+ couples.

If you are a same-sex couple / LGBT+ couple and you are not able to legally marry each other due to the laws of the Philippines not having a same-sex or marriage equality law yet, you might be interested to have a ceremonious wedding instead, or a 'Holy Union', under Open Table Metropolitan Community Church.
